, Jr.DUNLAP Charles Franklin Sanders, Jr., 90, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2013 in an area hospital. Mr. Sanders was a member of IBEW Local 175 for sixty seven years. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving in WWII and enjoyed beekeeping for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles F. Sanders, Sr. and Ina Sanders; six sisters and three brothers.Mr. Sanders is survived by his wife of sixty years, Effie Gene Sanders; sons, Charles E. Sanders and Robert F. (Pam) Sanders; daughters, Mary Sanders and Linda Sanders. sisters, Winnie Mae Sanders and Sarah (Lamar) Manning;special friends that he thought of as family, Henry Westmoreland, Jason Westmoreland and Mark King; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 25, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Billy Westmoreland officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.Memorial contributions may be made to, American Heart Association, 519 E. 4th Street Chattanooga, TN 37403.
