Cleve Smith

ROSSVILLE Cleve "Buddy" Smith, 65, passed away Friday, June 21, 2013 at a local hospital.He was a retired U. S. Army veteran serving during the Vietnam Conflict, a retired U. S. Postal worker and was formerly of Hartsville, S.C. Cleve is a member of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church of Hartsville, S.C., where his father had served as pastor. He was a gifted musician, songwriter, member of the gospel group, Shiloh, a guitar player, wonderful husband, father and friend.Preceding him in death were his parents, Rev. Furman and Creola Smith, Sr.Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Nancy Ford Smith; son, Joshua Ford Smith; step-son, Andrew Hinton; step-granddaughter, Madeline Hinton; brothers, Furman Smith, Jr.; and Robert Smith; sister, Gwen Rogers; and several nieces and nephews.Condolences may be sent to www.lane-southcrestchapel.comGraveside services will be held on Wednesday June 26, at 2:30 p.m. in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with the Rev.
