Lorene Swafford

PIKEVILLE Lorene H. Swafford, 101, died Saturday June 22, 2013. She was a member of the Pikeville United Methodist Church. Lorene was a retired school teacher, a member of the Bledsoe County Retired Teachers Association, and was a charter member of the Home Demonstration Club.She was preceded in death by husband, L.L. Swafford; daughter-in-law, Flo Swafford.Survivors include two sons, Leon Swafford and John (Betsy) Swafford, both of Pikeville; five grandsons; six great-grandchildren; sister, Gertrude H. Bishop, Elizabethton; several nieces and nephews.Service will be today at 4 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Doyle Ashburn and the Rev.
