Myron Miller

Myron Burk Miller, 73, of Signal Mountain, departed this life on Thursday June 27, 2013.He was preceded in death by his father, Vernie Miller; mother, Christine Hartman Miller; and sister, Vernice Miller.He leaves to cherish his memory, his sons, Philip Miller and his wife Shannon Miller and Mark Miller and his wife Sherri Miller; grandchildren, Laura Watts, Colby Miller, Christina Miller, Breanna Miller, Austin Miller and Darrus Miller; siblings, Joyce Stewart, Awdley Miller, Winnona Pikus, Ivan Miller and Edwin Miller.Myron Miller was born on Feb. 8, 1940, to the union of Vernie and Christine Miller in Sequatchie County, Tenn., where he remained his entire thoughtful and wonderful life. Myron was drafted into the United States Army during the Vietnam era. He was discharged with Honors after sustaining injuries during a training exercise.Myron retired from Quaker Oats Company in Chattanooga, TN. He served with the Sequatchie County Sheriff's Office and Bledsoe County Sheriff's Office for many years as a Reserve Officer. Serving as a Law Enforcement Officer was one of the things that he most enjoyed and took pride in.Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. CDT, Sunday, June 30, in the Ewton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Donald Camp officiating. Burial will follow in Thans Chapel Cemetery.
