JASPER Richard "Rat" Allen Thomas, 68, passed away, Friday, June 28, 2013 at his home.He was a retired truck driver who drove for over 40 years.He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Lillie Mae Jones Thomas; brothers, J. C., Bill, John, Vernon Carol and Harold Lloyd Thomas; and sister, Betty Sue Murphy.He is survived by his daughters, Janet (Larry) Wilson, Annette "PeeWee" Counts, Cindy Rollins and Chris (Jerone) Powell; grandchildren, Johnny Gilliam, Jr., Adam, Alicia and Aaron Counts, Johnathon, James and Leesa Rollins, Nicole, Ashley and Richard Powell; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, Bobby (Johnie) Thomas and Fred Thomas; sister, Christine Mason and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be conducted from the funeral home chapel at 4 p.m. CDT, Monday, July 1, with Bro.
