Sr.CHAPMANSBORO James Lloyd Pickett Sr., 69, passed away Friday, March 1, 2013, in a Ashland City, Tenn., hospital.He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was born in Gruetli-Laager, Tenn., on Dec. 13, 1943 to John Bert Pickett and Jeanetta E. Ward Pickett Couch who preceded him in death along with his sons, Samuel, Billy and James Pickett Jr.He is survived by his wife, Debra Allen Pickett; daughters, Melissa (Tony) Gilliam, Wendy (Jack Watts) Woodside and Christina (Bryan) West; son, James (Shannon) Sanders; sister, Cathy Haley; brother, John Pickett; 10 grandchildren, Robin, Dustin, Jamie, Keisha, Misty, Eric, Austin, Andrew, Gabriel and Joshua; five great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Karma, Bradley, Dominic and Alexander.Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Bethel Freewell Baptist Church, 2400 Mosley Ferry Road, Ashland City, Tenn., with Pastor Barry Raper officiating with burial to follow in Bethel Cemetery.Visitation: 1-8 p.m. today at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer Tennessee and 1 p.m. until the time of service at the Church on Sunday.Online condolances at laynefuneralhome.com.
