Richard Franklin "Pete" Thompson, 84, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2013.Pete was a family man and loved by his family dearly. He served in the United States Marine Corps. Pete worked with AT&T phone company as an installer. He was of the Baptist faith.Pete was preceded in death by his parents, Aaron and Mattie Thompson; brother, Roy Thompson.Pete is survived by his wife of 64 years, Christine Powers Thompson; son, Richard L. Thompson; brother, Ray Thompson.The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. today, March 5, 2013, at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel.Funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 6, in the funeral home chapel with Rev.
