ROSSVILLE Erika Canada, 84, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at NHC of Chattanooga.She was a native of Germany and lived in the United States since 1949 receiving her citizenship in 1953. She worked for Rivoli Textile Mills in Chattanooga with over 30 years of service, and she was of the Baptist faith. Her passions in life were cooking, taking care of her family and camping.She was preceded in death by her husband, Arvin Canada; her parents; and brothers, Wolfgang and Arno Schroeter.Survivors include her beloved cousin, Gisela Farrell, Rossville; niece, Sabine Stein, Berlin, Germany; stepson, Marvin Canada; late husbands aunt, Maggie Canada, Rainsville, Ala.A special thank you is extended to Gisela Farrell and the staff of NHC-Chattanooga for their love and care.To share expressions of sympathy, visit lane-southcrestchapel.com.Services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, March 11, in the South Crest Chapel.Arrangements are by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, Rossville.
