Virginia HoltVirginia Cecile Holt, 89, died peacefully on Sunday, March 17, 2013.A lifelong resident of Chattanooga, she was born in 1923 to Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Frank Holt Sr.She was employed by Gilman Paint and Wallcoverings for over 47 years until her retirement. She was a member of the Central Church of Christ, serving as secretary of the childrens department for more than 25 years.She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Andrew Frank Holt Jr.; sister, Mary Sue Robinson; brother, Ernest Henry Holt; and niece, Joyce Holt Walker.She is survived by her great-niece, Marilyn Walker (Gary) Fisher; great-nephews, Robert Kirk (Patsi) Walker Jr. and James Holt Walker; several cousins and great-great-nieces and nephews.The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff of Life Care Center of Hixson, particularly Tony Overstreet, for their caring concern and compassion in her final hours.Visitation will be held from 1-3 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, at Chattanooga Funeral Home East Chapel.Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral Home with Minister David Schonhoff officiating.Interment will be at Forest Hills Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to Central Church of Christ Building Fund, 400 Vine St., Chattanooga, TN 37403.Please share your thoughts and memories at www.chattanoogaeastchapel.com.Arrangements are by Chattanooga Funeral Home, East Chapel, 404 S.
