Gladys Hopkins

Gladys Hopkins, 100, of Chattanooga, departed this life on Saturday, March 16, 2013, at a local hospital.Gladys retired from T.C. Thompson Childrens Hospital Food Services.She was preceded in death by her husband, James Hopkins; and oldest son, Willie Marvin Hopkins.Survivors include one son, James E. "Dooney" Hopkins; three daughters, Betty Calloway, of Chattanooga, Christine Koral, of Chicago, Ill. and Deborah Hopkins-Smith, of Atlanta; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; devoted nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army and National Breast Cancer Society in Memory of Gladys Hopkins.The family will receive friends one hour prior to services from 11 a.m. until noon Saturday morning, March 23, 2013. Services will immediately follow at noon in the chapel with Pastor Timothy Sykes officiating.Interment in Forest Hills Cemetery.The body will lie in state after noon today at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 622-9995.
