Harold Clark

ROCK SPRING Harold E. Clark, 89, died Sunday, March 24, 2013 at his home in Rock Spring.Born in Pisgah, Ala., on Dec. 12, 1923, he was the son of the late Luther and Jessie Clark. Harold was a loving husband, father and grandfather. His family meant the world to him. Harold retired from Southern Centrifugal after 30 years service. After retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his family and puttering in his garden. Harold was a charter member of Parkway Baptist Temple in Fort Oglethorpe, where he was a member for more than 50 years.He was preceded in death by his parents; four siblings, J. B. Clark, Harry Clark, Ruby Rape and Margaret Sartin; and a great-grandson.Survivors are his wife of 66 years, Ruby Clark; daughter, Glenda (Tommy) Lockman; grandson, Michael Lockman; granddaughter, Tracie (Randy) Moore; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.The family would like to thank the staff at Hearth hospice and special friends, Ann Melton and Betty Brasher for their kindness and loving care.Funeral services will be noon Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Dr. David Sampson officiating.Interment in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.Visit www.heritagefh.com to share words of comfort with the family and view the memorial tribute.The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. today at Heritage Funeral Home and Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.
