Marion CaldwellMarion Thurston Caldwell, 89, of Lookout Mountain, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2013. Miss Caldwell worked as a bookkeeper for CV Brown and Brothers, but because of her love for children she re-entered college to pursue her teaching career. Miss Caldwell retired from Hamilton County Schools as a First Grade teacher at Falling Water Elementary School after more than 25 years of service. She was a member of Rivermont Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hollis and Tillie Caldwell; brothers, Frank Caldwell, Key Caldwell and John Caldwell; and sister, Harriet Caldwell.Survivors include her sister, Tilda Caldwell Wall, of Chattanooga; and nine nieces and nephews.Graveside services and interment will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday in Forest Hills Cemetery with Mrs. Diane Stocker, CRE officiating.The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. today at the funeral home.The family wishes to extend special thanks of gratitude to her caregivers, Lois Langley, Angela Williams and Phyllis McClure.Arrangements are by Wann Funeral Home and Cremation Center, St. Elmo.
