Michael Gilley

Michael Gilley, 58, Chattanooga, died Monday, March 25, 2013.He was a graduate of Chattanooga Valley High School and an active member of Chattanooga Valley Church of the Nazarene. He had been employed with Bloodworth Ice Company, Collins and Hobbs, Construction Consultants, Advanced Vehicle Systems and Memorial Hospital.Mr. Gilley was preceded in death by his mother Joyce Gilley; niece, Samantha Gilley; aunt, Millie Scott; and father-in-law Clayton McDaniel.He is survived by his wife, Janet Stapp Gilley; father, Maurice Gilley; brothers, Barry (Libby), Steven (Susie), Rodney (Lori) Gilley; nephews, Jerod, Nathan, Austin, Tyler and Tanner; niece, Jordan; sister-in-law, Gina (Shawn) Brandon, Marcus, Graham, and Kayli Jones; mother-in-law, Jean Stapp McDaniel; aunts, Bettye Ellis, Elaine Parrish and Dot Burns.In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to Chattanooga Valley Church of the Nazarene Building Fund, 2853 Chattanooga Valley Road, Flintstone GA 30725, or Hospice of Chattanooga, 4411 Oakwood Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37416.Visitation will be from 3-6 p.m. Wednesday with a memorial service following at 6 p.m. at Chattanooga Valley Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Jon Bemis officiating.His body has been donated to UT School of Medicine.Visit www.heritagefh.com to share words of comfort with the family.Arrangements are by Heritage Funeral Home and Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.
