Paul Rhodes

Paul Riley Rhodes, 68, passed away in his home on Monday March 25, 2013.He was a lifelong resident of the area, a graduate of Ringgold High, and was recently retired from 43 years of employment with BASF Corporation.Paul served our country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict.He is preceded in death by his mother, Nellie Brown Rhodes; father, Lee Cecil Rhodes; and brother, Stephen Lee Rhodes.He is survived by his wife, Peggy B. Rhodes; daughters, Carrie Rhodes, Ringgold; Christy (Shawn) Lewis, Macon; and Shelly (David) Coffee, Ringgold; grandchildren, TJ and Callie Lewis, Candace Rhodes, and Lucas and Casey Coffee; brother, Leonard "Bud" (Barbara) Rhodes, Ooltewah; sisters Priscilla (Bill) Denton and Emily Higdon Howell, both of Ringgold, and Nell (Wayne) Merrell, Apison; and several nieces and nephews.Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Chattanooga National Cemetery.There will be no visitation.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Ronald McDonald House.Visit www.heritagefh.com to share words of comfort to the family.Arrangements are by Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 East Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
