Juanita West

Juanita "Opal" Arms West, of Falling Water, passed away on Saturday, May, 18, 2013. She was 82 years old.Juanita was born in Willow Grove, Tenn., and resided in Overton and Putnam counties for most of her adult life. She moved to Hixson in 1989.Juanita was a member of the North Hamilton Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cora Audrey Hawkins Arms and Willie Hatten Arms, of Algood, Tenn.; and a sister, Lucille Hawkins Mullinnax, of Geff, Ill.She is survived by a brother, Willie Hatten (Virginia) Arms, of Algood, Tenn.; a son, David Lee (Theresa) West, of Springfield, Ga.; a daughter, Deborah West (Jerry) Summers, of Hixson; five granddaughters, Angie Summers, of Hixson, Melissa Summers, of Soddy, Amy West (Mark) Fleming, of Houston, Texas, Kelly West Franklin, of Matter, Ga., Cayce West, of Springfield, Ga.; two grandsons, Chris West, of Savannah, Ga., and Cody (Tami) West, of Springfield, Ga.; three great-granddaughters, Molly and Abby Fleming and Arianna West.The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday with funeral services at 11:30 a.m. at the North Chapel Chattanooga Funeral.Please share your thoughts and memories at www.chattanooganorthchapel.com.Arrangements are by Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory & Florist, North Chapel, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343.
