Wayne Franklin

ROSSVILLE Wayne M. Franklin, 77, departed this life Sunday, May 19, 2013, at his home.He was born in Walker County, Ga., to the late Charles and Rose Franklin. Wayne retired from U.S. Pipe & Foundry after 20 years of service. He was of the Church of God faith and was a Member of the Masonic Lodge in Rossville.He was also preceded in death by his brother, Charles "Bud" Franklin.Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Neva Franklin; children, Russell (Teresa) Franklin, Todd (Mary) Franklin, all of Rossville; siblings, Maxine (Charles) Baker, of Summerville, Leon (Martha) Franklin, Earlene Franklin, both of Chickamauga, Marvin (Pat) Franklin, of South Carolina; grandchildren, Matt (Amber) Franklin, Josh (Lindsey) Franklin, Amanda, Ashley, Levi and Robert Franklin; great-grandchildren, Kalob, Hunter, and baby Franklin, and several nieces and nephews.Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park with the Rev. Johnny Williams and the Rev. Jack Pendergrass officiating.Family will receive friends from 2 until 8 p.m. today and prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, the family requested that donations be made to a charity of your choice.Arrangements are by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, Fort Oglethorpe.
