Lance Cassidy

Lance Cassidy, 77, died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013, after a year long battle with lung cancer. He had been a member of the Tennessee Army National Guard. Mr. Cassidy retired from TVA and also worked with Walden Security. He was one who enjoyed life, never meeting a stranger. He always had a great sense of humor with a joke to tell. Mr. Cassidy loved fishing, yard sales, NASCAR races and Alabama football. He was preceded in death by his parents, Myron and Pauline Cassidy. Survivors are his wife of 38 years, Shirley Cassidy; daughter, Kris Cassidy Coulter; stepdaughter, Cristy (Jeff) Hixson; granddaughters, Kaitlin Coulter, Sheree (Monte) King, Haley (Chris) Leamon; great-grandchildren, Kynsie, Kyler and Brody. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Tim Lefleur officiating. Entombment in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.
