Carol Cooper

Carol Runyan Cooper, 69, died at her home Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013 following a lengthy battle with Parkinsons Disease. The daughter of the late A.K. and Norma Cloud Runyan, she was a retired employee of DuPont where she worked for over 36 years. She is survived by her husband, David O. Cooper, Jr., of Jasper; a step-daughter, Teri (Greg) Peardon, of Whitwell, two step-granddaughters, Kelli Peardon, of Jasper and Nichole Higdon, of Chattanooga; 2 step-great-grandchildren, Luke and Lauren Higdon, of Signal Mountain; three sisters, Judy Rutledge, of Red Bank, Elaine (Tom) Hundley, of Lake City, Fla., and Anita (Tom) DeCosimo, of Signal Mountain; two sisters-in-law, Judy Cooper, of Whitwell and Martha Cooper, of Atlanta, Ga.; two aunts, Jo Elliott, of Jasper and Nancy Metcalf, of Chattanooga; and several nieces and nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Nov. 4, at 3 p.m. Central from the Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home in Jasper. Interment will be in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.
