David Mundy

David Munday FORTMYERS, Fla. David Russell Munday passed away on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013. He was born on March 29, 1939 in Johnson City, Tenn., to his parents, Roy Lee and Lenos Harmon Munday. David is survived by his loving wife, Melenia Hitechew Munday; his daughters, Dr. Tona Leigh Munday (Dr. Ken Brinn) and Amy Leah Osborne; grandchildren, David Christian Osborne, Steven Emory Osborne Jr., Jordan Munday Brinn and Carson Julian Brinn; his twin brother and sister, Roy Lee Munday Jr. and JoAnn Meroney; nieces, nephews and many friends and golfing buddies who will miss him dearly. David was preceded in death by his sisters, Lucille Munday, Edith Marie Munday, Hazel Cardin, Emma Emily Metcalf; and his parents. David graduated from East Tennessee State University and taught math, science, coached baseball and basketball in Carter County, Tenn., from 1961-1964. In 1964 he was hired by ER Squibb & Sons in Princeton, N.J. and continued his career with them in multiple aspects of the company with the last position being the vice president of sales of Squibb Diagnostics. David and Melenia have lived at Heritage Palms in Fort Myers, Fla., since 2002. He enjoyed the comradely and all aspects of the game of golf. David and Melenia are members of New Hope Presbyterian Church. David will be remembered as a great husband, father and grandfather. A Celebration of Davids life will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, at the New Hope Presbyterian Church; 3825 McGregor Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33901. A reception will follow in the Fellowship Hall.
