David Raines

David Joseph Raines, 66, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday Nov. 2, 2013. He owned and operated Trenton Tire and Auto since 1980, and served on the Trenton City Council for a number of years. He enjoyed being on the river with his family, fishing, boating, and watching the Georgia Bulldogs. He is preceded in death by his parents Jack and Lucille Gass Raines; and one grandson Joseph Raines. Surviving include his wife of 47 years Janice Raines, of Trenton, Ga.; one son Joey Raines; one daughter Karla (David) Raines-Meyer, of Madison, MS; three grandchildren Kristen Meyer, Sarah (Jason) Duren, both of Madison, MS, and Nicole (David) Crisp-Wade, of Chattanooga, Tenn.; three great-grandchildren Hunter, Meyer, and Grayson; two sisters Diane (Mike) Ott, of Lookout Valley, Tenn., and Melba (David) Gallegly, of Dalton, Ga.; also several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. today at Lake Hills Memorial Gardens with David Gallegly officiating. There will be no visitation.
