Mike Poe JASPER Michael L. "Mike" Poe, 52, went home to be with his Lord, Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, after fighting a battle with cancer. Mike was a member of Baptist Hill Baptist Church, and had worked at O'Neil Color until he became disabled. A loving family man he enjoyed riding motorcycles and motocross. He loved to watch wrestling and westerns, like Bonanza and Gunsmoke and the Andy Griffith Show with his son. His was preceded in death by parents, Billy "J.C." Poe and Pearl Raley Poe and nephew, James Albert Dalton. Mike is survived by his wife, Kathy Dalton Poe; son, Jeffery Michael Poe; former, daughter-in-law, Berina Swinney; step-grandson, Hunter Cookston; brothers, Danny (Sherry) Poe, Billy "Sam" Poe; sisters, Tina (Tommy) Sells, Audrey (Allan) Dalton, Carolyn "Susie" Ozment; Sharon Smith; sister-in-law, Denise (Scott) Neely; brother-in-law, Johnny (Teresa) Dalton; several nieces, nephews and great- nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. CST, Monday, Nov. 4, with Bro. Gene Lewis and Bro. Lewis Holloway officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. CST, today.
