Lester Singleton

Lester Singleton, 79, of Chattanooga went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013. He was a Baptist and retired as Custodian from Hamilton County Schools. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Author and Birdie Singleton; one daughter, Fay Singleton. He is survived by his loving wife, Rubye Singleton; sons, Jackie, Dennis and Ray Singleton, all of Chattanooga; step-sons, Leon Price, of Knoxville, James Price, of Soddy-Daisy; daughters, Luella Cash, of Chattanooga, Bernice Hoodenpyle, of Red Bank; step-daughter, Susie Brewer, of Buford, Ga.; four brothers, George, Raymond, Winford Singleton and Buddy Mercer; three sisters, Niota Rogers, Otella Freeman and Virita Bolton; sixteen grandchildren; twenty five great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Nov. 19, from 2-8 p.m. at the Hwy 58 chapel of Turner Funeral Home or you may visit the online guestbook @ www.turnerfamilyfuneralhome.com Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev.
