Lowell Anderson

Lowell Anderson, 72, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013. He was the son of the late Edmond and Pauline Anderson. Lowell graduated from the University of Georgia with a BBA, Bachelor of Business Administration, and he was a veteran of the United States Army. He was affiliated with Atlanta Motor Lines having served on their management team for 33years. He then went to work for Cleveland Express and retired from Southern States Express. Mr. Anderson was a longtime member of Ridgedale Baptist Church where he served as Sunday School Director for over 30 years and he served as Chairman of the Deacons on several occasions. He was a current member of Brainerd Baptist Church and the Meade Sunday School Class. Preceded in death by sister-in-law, Eleanor Howard and special aunt, Madeline Quintrell. Survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Dianne Anderson, of Chattanooga; nephew, Rev. Jeffrey Howard and his wife Molly Howard, of Columbus, Ga.; and great niece, Anna Howard. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 11 a.m. at the the East Brainerd Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Rev. Jeffrey Howard and Jim Evans officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Nov. 19, from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Meade Sunday School Class. Interment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
