Jo Rooks

Jo Pippin Rooks, 82, with open arms our Lord received our beautiful and loving mother and nana on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Bill and Treva Pippin. A 57 year resident of Red Bank, she was a member of Lupton Drive Baptist Church and manager of Katherine's Intimate Apparel. She was also preceded in death by the love of her life of 51 years, Albert E. Rooks. Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Foster (Charlie) and Dianna Vaughn (Steve); four grandchildren: Christopher French, Christina Buchanan, Steve Vaughn, Jr. (Corinna) and Stacey Sweat (Gene); six great-grandchildren: Christian "Tyler" Gillespie, Autumn Gunter, Madison and Gavin Buchanan, Lauren and Ethan Sweat; three siblings, Shirley Massengale, Ray Pippin, and William Pippin all of Chattanooga . The family would like to thank everyone who helped in giving our mother the love, compassion and quality of care during the past year of her life. Special thanks to Soddy Daisy HealthCare/West Wing Staff and Dr. Heisser, which also was her doctor with Amedysis Home Health Care. Memorial contributions may be made to Amedysis Hospice. Funeral services are 1 p.m. Saturday Nov. 30, at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace with Reverend Randy Bell, Reverend Burman Cape and Reverend Roger DeHart officiating.
