Marie Elsea

Ruth Marie Elsea, 97, of Sale Creek, died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013, at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Elsea; parents, Fred and Ruth Shipley; brother, Truitt Shipley; and sister, Juanita Marler. She was a member of the Sale Creek United Methodist Church. She is survived by four children, Grady (Alice) Elsea, of Hixson, Dean (Bobby) Carmack, of Sale Creek, Wanda (Don) Sneed, of Evensville, and Nancy (Ray) Purser, of Sale Creek; and two granddaughters, Cindy Carmack, of Hixson, and Allison Russell, of Chattanooga. The family will receive friends from 2-7 p.m. today at the funeral home. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 7 p.m. at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Cecil Baxter officiating. Burial will be Saturday morning, Nov. 30, at 11 a.m. at New Providence Cemetery. Condolences and memories can be shared at www.williamsonandsons.com.
