Dorothy "Dottie" Zachry Alexander, 91, of Hixson, passed away Friday, Sept. 27, 2013.Dottie was born in Notasulga, Ala., but had lived in the Chattanooga area for over 50 years.She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Theodore "Ted" William Alexander Jr. Dottie attended Auburn University. She had a love of Ball Room Dancing and had been a dancer since childhood.Survivors include, two daughters, Lisa Alexander and Suzelle (Earl) White; son, Theodore William (Sharon) Alexander III; grandchildren, Christie Alexander, Jessica Alexander, Doug Alexander, Zach Hutcherson, Nick Hutcherson, John Williams and James Williams; one great-granddaughter, Billie Anabelle Littman; one great-grandson, Ryland Paul Littmam; one niece, Sherri Reynolds; one grandniece, Jaylan Reynolds.Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday Oct. 2, at Chattanooga National Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. today, Oct. 1, at Lane Funeral Home, 601 Ashland Terrace.
