Oma Crane

ROSSVILLE Oma Hough Crane, 95, formerly of Rossville, passed away Monday, Sept. 30, 2013, at her daughters home in Murfreesboro, Tenn.She was born in Enid, Colo., and raised in Crowell, Texas. She moved to Rossville as a young married woman and lived here and other areas of North Georgia until moving to live with her daughters in Murfreesboro 15 years ago. She had been an employee of Richmond Hosiery Mill in Rossville for several years. She was a member of the Church of Christ since the age of 13. She was worshipping with the Murfreesboro Congregation before her confinement to home several years ago.She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Lee Crane, her parents and several siblings.She is survived by her two daughters, Mrs. James Cantrell and Mrs. Sylvia Marler, both of Murfreesboro; five grandchildren, Edward (Jo Ellen) Pierce, West Lake Village, Calif., Lenore (Joe David) Smith, Newport, Ark., Donna (Dr. Gregory) Dabov, Memphis, Tenn., Jenny (Bobby) O'Brien and Dana (Patti) Tindell, both of Searcy, Ark.; 14 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Lynn Carpenter, Houston, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory located at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
