Joann Smith, 68, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, in Nashville.Survivors include her sons, Antonia (Mia) Smith and Dennis Smith; siblings, James Edward Smith and Verlene Middlebrooks, other relatives and friends. Funeral: noon Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, at Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.Interment: Forest Hills Cemetery.The body will lie in state after noon today at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
