JASPER George William McBee, 69, passed away, Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013.He had worked as contractor and carpenter for many years and as jailer for the Marion County Sheriffs Department.He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Virgil and Melinda Mae Shetters McBee; and special sister, Juanita Patterson.Mr. McBee is survived by his wife, Sharon May McBee; children, Dana McBee; stepchildren, Steve (Jeff) Smith, and Kellie (Scott) McCann; brothers, Glenn McBee and Bobby (Brenda) McBee; sisters, Mary Lou (Charles) McCarver, Betty (James) Rollins, and Carlyne (Garner) Tellous; grandchildren, Timothy (Erika) Bowlin and Tyler (Chelsie Rogers) Bowlin; great-grandchildren, Matthew and Andrew Bowlin and Keyli Feigel; and several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends from 2 until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, with a service to follow at in the funeral home chapel, with Brother Gene Lewis officiating.To send online condolences visit www.tatefh.comArrangements by Tate Funeral Home, LLC, Jasper, 423-942-9500.
