Linda Damewood

Linda Damewood, 65, of Hixson, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, at the home of her brother, Les, in Red Bank, surrounded by her loving family.Linda was a member of Red Bank Presbyterian Church. Linda was a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and was a school teacher with the Hamilton County Department of Education and then worked for Dollar General Store for 17 years. Linda was a very loving person and especially loved her cats.She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald S. Damewood; and niece, Mai Yvonne Crumley.Survivors include her mother, Lou Damewood, of Chattanooga; sister, Lilian Wells, of Hixson; brothers, Gerald (Kaisah) Damewood, of Memphis and Les (Charlotte) Damewood, of Red Bank; three nieces and two nephews.Funeral services will be noon Saturday at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace with the Rev. Everett Gossett, the Rev.
