Robert Sparks

Robert Alan Sparks, 62, of Chattanooga, passed away peacefully to be with his Savior on Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, at his home after a courageous battle with non-Hodgkins lymphoma.Mr. Sparks was a very kind, loving and hardworking man who enjoyed spending time with his family and working in the yard. He was very involved in his children and grandchildrens sports and activities; he loved coaching softball and soccer. He was baptized at and was a member of the former Central Baptist Church at Woodmore. Mr. Sparks retired from Mayfield Dairy as a route salesman and served in the Army National Guard.He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Robbie Gilbert, Lois Medaris; and his wifes parents, Mason and Joyce Phillips.He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 37 years, Jane Sparks; daughters, Mandy Coots, Summer (Jon) LeSar and Nicole (Josh) Green; grandchildren, Zac Coots, Bryce Green and Evelyn LeSar; parents, Donald and Betty Sparks; sister, Donna (Albert) Baca; brothers, Larry (Loretta) Sparks, Rickey (Debbie) Sparks and David Sparks; and his wifes siblings, Eddie (Vicki) Phillips and Diana Lawrence; aunt, Janice (Jesse) Morris; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.The family would like to thank Dr. Gandhi, the staff at Erlanger Medical Center and the staff of Hearth Hospice for all their compassion and care.Please share your thoughts and memories at www.chattanoogaeastchapel.com.Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 404 S.
