Geraldine Simpson

Geraldine Neva Simpson, 89, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013. She was of the Baptist faith. Geraldine had previously worked at the La Dean Shop for over 20 years, had been a greeter at Walmart and had been a manager at Lories Dress Shop in Florida for 10 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Dow Simpson; two sisters and one brother.She is survived by her son, Charles (Karen) Simpson Jr.; daughter, Sandra (Pete) Gaston; grandchildren, Tab (Debbie) Barrow, Ron (Gina) Barrow, Lauren Simpson, Chad Simpson; great-grandchildren, Adam (Taylor) Barrow, Sarah (Scott) Ridley , Benjamin Barrow, Savannah Barrow and Lainey Barrow; great-great-grandchildren, Xander Barrow and Harper Ridley.A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013, graveside in Chattanooga Memorial Park with Pastor Dwight Martin officiating.Visitation is 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home.In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.Condolences and memories can be shared at www.williamsonandsons.com.Arrangements are by Williamson and Sons Funeral Home, 8852 Dayton Pike, Soddy-Daisy, TN 37379.
