George Wright

Jr.George Wright Jr. was born in Lincolnton, Ga., on July 14, 1942, and was given back to his Heavenly Father on Aug. 28, 2013.He was the son of the late George Wright Sr. and Amanda Wright. He served in the U.S. Army as a MP-military police officer, and after serving his country was honorably discharged.He was proceeded in death by his son, Mitchel (Sidney) Wright; and two sisters, Letha Ann Howes and Hattie Mae Wright Howard (Lebron) Massengill.He leaves to mourn one daughter, Mecshell (Anthony) Wright Ramseur; five grandchildren, April Ramseur, Adarius Ramseur, Tiffany Wright, Shaun Wallace and Marion Wallace; his former wife, Fannie Branson Wright; two sisters, Mary Lizzie Durham, of Augusta, Ga., and Daisy Louise Southerland, of Chattanooga; three nieces who cared for him during his extended illness, Carrie Durham, Dr. Jean Howard-Hill and LaShunda Hill; along with a host of other loving nieces, nephews, cousins, brother-in-law, family and friends.Homegoing services are at 10 a.m. today, Sept. 4, 2013.He will be laid to rest at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
