Ruby Catherine Ellis Sanders, 83, went home to be with the Lord on Monday morning, Sept. 16, 2013.A native of Flintstone, Ga, Ruby was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area.She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Sanders Sr; parents, Harvey C. and Fannie B. Ellis; brothers, Grady and Garland Ellis; sister, Ruth Hood; and a grandson, Brenton Sanders.Survivors include her son, Charles (Kate) Sanders Jr.; brother, Harvey (Evelyn) Ellis and several nieces and nephews.A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Hamilton Memorial Gardens in Hixson.There will not be any visitation at the Funeral Home.In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, 120 Wall Street, 29th Floor, New York, NY 10005.Please share your thoughts and condolences at www.chattanooganorthchapel.comArrangements by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN. 37343.
