ROSSVILLE Thomas "Tommy" Painter, 74, departed this life Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013.He was born in Walker County, Ga., to the late Homer and Ida Mae Painter. Tommy was owner/operator of Painter Trucking and was an avid fisherman and NASCAR Fan.He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Wendell "Wink "Painter, Buddy Painter, Kathryn Webb, Othell Bunn.Survivors include his loving wife, Kathryn Gass Davis Painter, of Rossville; children, Tammy Painter, of Lookout Mountain, Terry Painter, of Rossville, Colby Painter, of LaFayette; stepson, Terrell Davis, of Rossville; siblings, Thelma Henley, of Chattanooga, Beatrice Rice, of Rossville, Wanda Breedlove, of Tiftonia, Dot Wilson, of Rossville; eight great-grandchildren; one great-granddaughter, many nieces and nephews.Funeral will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013 in the chapel with Chuck Higdon and Marty Higdon officiating.Interment will follow in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.Family will receive friends from 4 until 9 p.m. today, 2 until 9 p.m. Wednesday, and prior to the service Thursday at the funeral home.Arrangements are by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, Fort Oglethorpe.
