Margaret Smith

Margaret Smith, died on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013. She was married to the late attorney and former Hamilton County Juvenile Court Judge Dixie T. Smith.She was the mother of Carol (deceased), Shannon, Robert (Pam), and Beth. She was a registered nurse, homemaker, and volunteer.A celebration of life service for Margaret Carrell Smith is announced. The service will be held on Sunday, October 13, at 2:30 p.m. at Brainerd United Methodist Church. Family visitation will be held an hour prior to the service in the church atrium.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests charitable contributions to Brainerd United Methodist Church,4315 Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, TN 37411; the Carol Smith Sanders Memorial Scholarship, c/o UTC Department of Development, Dept. 6806, 615 McCallie Avenue, Chattanooga TN 37403; Hospice of Chattanooga Foundation, 4411 Oakwood Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37416 or other charitable organizations.Arrangements are being handled by Chattanooga Funeral Home-East.
