Michael ArpRINGGOLD 1st Sgt. Michael Alan Arp, 62, passed away Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, to be with the savior Jesus Christ. He was a lifelong resident of Catoosa County and a member of Post Oak Baptist Church. Sgt. Arp retired from the United States Army after 21 years of service. He served in Vietnam and numerous stations around the world. He received many awards and citiations during his career in the Army. He is survived by wife, Linda Sue Arp; daughters, Michelle (Chris) Welch, Melanie Keith, Christina (Aaron) Grissom; granddaughters, Brittany Pickett, Destiny Motley, Allie, Lanie, and Camie Keith, and Kiersten Grissom.Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Ralph Long officiating.
