TRENTON Christopher Randall Lane, 42, died Saturday afternoon, Sept. 21, 2013.He was retired from the U.S. Army in Fort Ord, Calif., and a graduate of Northwest Georgia High School. He was in intelligence and cyber science while serving in the US Army. Mr. Lane was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church and Young Adult Sunday School Class.He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Virgil and Pat Smith and Chester and Edith Lane.Surviving are two sons, Coby (Ashlyn) Lane, Flat Rock, Ala.; Corey Lane, Wildwood, Ga.; parents, Ralph and Charlotte Smith Lane, Trenton, Ga.; sister, Sherry Lane, Cleveland, Tenn.; also several aunts, uncles, and cousins.Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday in the chapel with Rev. Clay Moreland and Rev. Bob Patty officiating.Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
