Willie Jean Henderson, 85, of Chattanooga, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013.She was born Nov. 30, 1927 to the late William and Alice Kemp.She was a member of Greater Faith Temple Missionary Baptist Church.She was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Henderson Sr.; brother, Calvin Kemp; grandmother, Mary Hodge; uncle, Robert Hodge; and great-grandson. Adrian D. Nash.Survivors include her son, William E. Henderson Jr.; two daughters, Marva G. (Estell) Torrey and Sharon Y. (Orlando) Darby; nephew, Calvin Kemp; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be held at noon on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013, at Greater Faith Temple Missionary Baptist Church, with Dr. Nathaniel Carter officiating.Interment in National Cemetery.The body will lie in state after noon today and the family will receive friends from 67 p.m. today at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
