Howard Barnes

Howard L. Barnes, 72, of Chattanooga, died on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2013, at Parkridge East Hospital.Mr. Barnes born in Summerville, Ga.; son of the late R.L. and Elsie Carver Barnes. He was a member of Chattanooga Valley Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Air Force. He and his wife owned and operated Cherokee Camper Park in Cedar Bluff, Ala., for more than 25 years. Mr. Barnes was an avid fisherman.Survivors are his wife of more than 52 years, Mardi Barnes; sons and daughters-in-law, Brent and Tammy Barnes and Kurt and Amy Barnes; grandchildren, Garrett, Zachary, Jeremy, Nicholas, Courtney, and Macy; brothers, Harry Barnes and Darrell Barnes.Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway.Interment will be at Tennessee Georgia Memorial Park.Friends may visit www.heritagefh.com to share condolences with the family.The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.Arrangements are by Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway.
