Martha Johnson

Martha "Pepper" Jean Robinson Penson Johnson, 69, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013, at her residence.She was a 1961 graduate of Howard High School and was a member of Orchard Park Seventh-Day Adventist Church. She was a member of several bowling associations.She was preceded in death by her sister, Joann Ervin; father, Claude Robinson; sons, Marcus and Calvin McKinley.Survivors include son, Tracy (Stephanie) Penson, of Chattanooga; daughters, Pamela McKinley Heard, of Columbia, S.C., Hope Robinson, of Goodlettsville, Tenn. and Pearl McKinley, of Chattanooga; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; mother, Mable Robinson; brothers, Roger "Busta" Robinson, Freddie Robinson and Oscar Robinson; sisters, Curtis Mae Robinson, Dolly Sandridge and Ninevrah "Suga" Benford, all of Chattanooga; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; other relatives; best friends, Beverly and Theresa and others.Funeral service is 2 p.m. Friday at Orchard Park SDA Church with Pastor Frank D. Stevenson Sr. as the eulogist.Visitation is from 6-7 p.m. today at Taylor Funeral Home.
