Bernice Smith

Bernice Annie Smith, 74, passed away Monday, March 31, 2014. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church for over 45 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Toot and Bertha McBryar; sister, Imogene McBryar Renfro. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Leroy Smith; two daughters, Pam (Dennis) Hartline, Trenton, Elaine (John) Edgeworth, Trenton; son, Kevin (Gwen) Smith, Trenton; sister, Charlotte Fossett, Trenton; brothers, Theodore (Florence) McBryar, Trenton; Jerry (Stella) McBryar, Joe McBryar, Eddie (Charlotte) McBryar; six grandchildren Chad and Jinna Hartline, Christa and Keith Ware, Matt and Nikki Edgeworth, Jeremy and Jessica Edgeworth, Kel and Kristen Smith, Kipp Smith; eight great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. EDT today, April 2, 2014 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 2227 Highway 301, Trenton, with Brother A.C. Durham and Brother Phillip Trask officiating. Burial will follow in Gib-Dock Cemetery. Visitation will be held 10 a.m.-2 p.m. today.
