Carolyn Cook

Carolyn Denise Battle Cook, 57, of Chattanooga, passed away Friday, April 4, 2014, at her residence. She was a 1974 Riverside High graduate. She was employed by Parkridge Hospital and was a member of Friendship Primitive Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Johnny and Ardell Battle; brother, Billy Summerrow Sr.; and sister, Gwendolyn Battle. Survivors include her devoted husband, Michael Cook; son, Deltrick Malone Sr.; grandchildren, Deziree, Deairra and Deltrick Malone Jr.; brothers, Michael Battle, Jarvis Battle and Julius Summerrow; sisters, Barbara Summerrow, Brenda Forge, all of Chattanooga, and Cynthia Battle (Ervin) Thomas, of Rossville; mother-in-law, Iris Brown, of Chattanooga; brothers-in-law, Clayton Cook, of Chattanooga and Tony (Valerie) Cook, of Nashville; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation: from 7-8 p.m. today at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will be atnoon Saturday in the chapel. Burial: Forest Hills Cemetery.
