Virginia Lillie

Virginia Ransom Lillie, 94, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2014, at a local hospital. Virginia was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area and of the Baptist faith. She was retired from Cutter Laboratory. Mrs. Lillie is preceded in death by brothers, LeBron Ransom and W.O. Ransom Jr.; and sister, Fay Peacock. Survivors are son, Robert (Marie) Drake, Fort Oglethorpe; sisters, Madge Ransom, Rock Spring and Mary Louise Lundy, Chattanooga; brothers, John Ransom, Rock Spring and Knox Ransom, Fort Oglethorpe; granddaughter, Jennifer (Rick) Hindman, Carrolton, Ga.; three great-grandchildren, Allison, Catherine and William; and four stepgrandchildren and their families. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Daniel Gilchrist and Rev. Dennis McNulty. Interment in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.
