William Maclin Jr.

William "Bill" F. Maclin Jr., 77, of Chattanooga, passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2014. Mr. Maclin was born in Chattanooga to the late Mary and William Maclin Sr. He was a graduate of Knox Central High School. Mr. Maclin was a former member of Ridgedale Baptist Church and co-owner of Omega Marble and Tile. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite Highlanders and Alhambra Temple. He also belonged to the Porsche Club of America and enjoyed collecting and restoring Porsches. Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Aline VanZant Maclin; his children, Dr. Colleen Maclin (Clint) Schmitt, Kathleen Maclin (Dimmy) Wilkinson, William Foster "Trey" (Robin) Maclin, III; step-children, John William (Lisa) ONeal, Rebecca A. ONeal, Gordon VanZant (Madeline) ONeal, Matthew Aaron (Emily) ONeal; grandchildren, Alexis, Jordan, Aaron, Rebecca, Brieah, Gracie, Garrett, John, and Benjamin; and great-grandson, Oscar. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15th and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 16th at the funeral home. Burial will be at Chattanooga National Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Crippled Childrens Fund through the Alhambra Shrine, Caris Hospice, or the Chattanooga Humane Society.
