Billie Bittenbender

Billie Jean Bittenbender, 84, of Chattanooga, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Apri1 16, 2014. She was born in Detroit, Mich., and raised in Ringgold, Ga. She was a resident of Chattanooga for more than 50 years where she enjoyed nursing for the better part of her life. She was a long time member of Silverdale Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Arthur L. Bittenbender; parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.E Spencer, of Ringgold Ga.; and grandson, Timothy David Bittenbender. She is survived by one brother, Phillip E. Spencer, of Ringgold, Ga. She was the mother of four children, Beverley Kelley, of Cumming, Ga.; Garry and Tommie Bittenbender, of Fort Oglethorpe, Timothy and Debbie Bittenbender, of Red Bank, and Tammy and Luke Queen, of Chattanooga; five grandchildren, Garrett, Dee Dee, Amber, Heidi and Andrew; three great-grandchildren, Justin, Correy and Olivia. Graveside service will be 1:30 p.m. today, April 18, 2014, at Chattanooga National Cemetery. Visit www.heritagefh.com to share words of comfort to the family and view the memorial tribute.
