Mary McRae

Mary E. McRae, 90, passed into the hands of her Lord on Saturday, April 19, 2014. Mary was born on Aug. 9, 1923 in Chattanooga, to the late Vernon Estelle and Laura York Ellis. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene and the Senior Adult Sunday School Class. Mary loved being a minister's wife and a dedicated homemaker who cherished her family dearly and enjoyed each moment spent with them. Her beloved husband of 50 years, George H. McRae; her parents; and her brother, Charles Vernon Ellis, preceded her in death. Marys memory will forever be treasured by her loving daughter, Nita Thompson, of Warner Robins; granddaughters, Kimberly Savage (Paul) and Brandie McNeal (Tom), both of Warner Robins; 10 great-grandchildren; and many adoring nieces and nephews. A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today, April 22, 2014 in LaFayette City Cemetery with interment immediately following. Dr. Marty McRae will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given to First Church of the Nazarene Warner Robins, 300 Lois Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31093.
