Charles Pittman

Charles Andrew "Mush" Pittman, 91, a resident of East Ridge, passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville, Tenn. Charles was a son of the late Daniel and Elma Pittman. He was of the Baptist faith. Charles was also a man of many trades. He enjoyed fishing, playing his mandolin, and also had a love for animals. He most importantly loved traveling the U.S. with his beloved wife of 60 years, Louise. In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by one son, Bobby Pittman Sr.; one grandson, Bobby Pittman Jr.; and all of his many siblings. Charles leaves behind to cherish his memories his beloved wife of 60 years, Louise Pittman; two daughters, Charlene Pittman, of Crossville, Tenn. and Tammy Pittman, of Sacramento, Calif.; three grandchildren, Crystal Roberts (Josh), of East Ridge, Summer Pittman (Chris), of Crestview, Fla., and Sierra Pittman Adis, of Sacramento, Calif.; four great-grandchildren, Jacob Roberts, Caleb Roberts, Chandler Pittman and Xzaveir Pittman; he also leaves behind man other nieces, nephews, and friends. A celebration of his life is planned for Thursday, April 24, 2014, at noon in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown Road in Cleveland, Tenn., with the Rev. Sam Riggs officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the noon service time.
