Penny Painter

Penny Suzette Painter, 46, of Hixson, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, July 27, 2014. Penny was an organ donor. She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church. Penny is the daughter of the late Laura Sue Painter and survived by her father, Rev. James Ted Painter. She was born on Nov. 5, 1967, and graduated from Hixson High School in 1985. She was a CNA in high school, had a degree in communications from Chattanooga State and an Associates in Surgical Technology from Miller Motte. She worked for the Hamilton County government in Child Support Division, Chattanooga Health Center and TVA as a computer Analyst. She married Lonnie John Daniel of Hixson in 1985. In addition to her father, she is survived by her children, Ashton Suzette (Darrell) Pittman, John Hunter (Kayla Dee) Daniel, Laura Anne (Benjamin) Nelson; grandchildren, Lana and Levi Pittman, Paislei Daniel and Jocelyn and Jordan Nelson; many aunts and uncles; and her special friend Kit Haralson. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 5, at the funeral home, with a memorial service following at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with her father, Rev. James Ted Painter officiating.
