Marie Manning Marie

Jane Manning, 66, of Greenville, Mo., died July 29, 2014 at her home. She was born on Nov. 10, 1947 in San Bernardino, Calif., the daughter of George and Alice Gustafson Brookshire. Survivors include her mother Alice Russell, Chattanooga; two daughters, Candice "Candy" Heaton and husband, Jason, Williamsville, Mo., Bylinda Bell and husband, James, Red Bank; three brothers, Bill Brookshire and companion, Becky Sharp, Scott Valley, Calif., Steve Schwab and wife, Roxanne, Lockeford, Calif., and Clay Schwab and wife Mona, Wagoner, OK, one sister, Dianna Pereira and husband Julius, Scott Valley, Calif.; grandchildren, Connor Nelson, William Nelson and Christian Heaton and many family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, George Brookshire and stepmom, Marjorie Brookshire. Marie spent her childhood growing up in Worcester, Mass. She later moved to California and graduated from Sunset High School in Hayward, Calif. Through the years she made her home in Castro Valley, Calif., and Soddy-Daisy, before moving to Greenville, Mo. Marie had worked as a machine operator at Kayser-Roth hosiery mill in Dayton, Tenn., for 20 years before moving to Greenville, Mo., where she served in her community as a home healthcare worker. She enjoyed nature, liked feeding birds and watching them. She loved to look at beautiful flowers and play with her dog and cat. She was a Christian and attended the Faith Assembly of God Church, in Greenville, Mo. Services were held Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Faith Assembly of God with Pastor Brenda Henson ministering to the family. Interment was in Rucker Cemetery near Taskee.
